Your story deserves space to grow.

Have you ever found yourself wondering, “How did I get here?”

Maybe life took a turn you didn’t expect,
and now you’re trying to make sense of it all.

You’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out alone either.

Hi, I’m Tyler,

Before I stepped into being a therapist, my life took many unexpected turns, from professional athlete, to pastor, to public speaker. My world used to revolve around performance, pressure, and pushing through. I understand what it’s like to live under high expectations, your own or other people’s. I know how it feels to be stuck in a version of yourself that no longer fits.

Over the past 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring youth and young adults as they wrestle with big questions about identity, purpose, and relationships. That experience continues to shape the heart of my work: helping people feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate life’s twists and turns.

I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, spiritual concerns, and performance-related stress. I’m especially passionate about supporting young adults and professionals feeling caught between who they’ve been and who they want to become. My approach is narrative-focused and emotionally attuned, meaning we’ll explore both your story and the emotions that come with it. I bring curiosity, compassion, and a bit of humour into the room, creating a space where healing feels possible and growth feels real.

If you’re feeling stuck, searching for direction, or ready to make a meaningful change, I’d be honoured to walk with you.

Rooted Together:

Rooted Together is your space to grow closer, deepen your awareness as a couple and create the relationship story you want to tell, together.

Strengthen your connection, deepen your understanding, and build a foundation that lasts. This 6-session relationship growth journey is designed for couples at any stage; whether you’re preparing for marriage, moving in together, or simply looking to invest more deeply in your relationship. Instead of focusing only on topics like money or parenting, we explore the foundations beneath those topics: the worldview each partner brings, their attachment style, how past grief and loss might shape their connection, how they communicate, and how they experience intimacy.

Topics Covered in Sessions

  1. Communication and Flexible Thinking (75 min)

  2. Attachment Styles (90 min)

  3. Meaning Making/Worldview (75 min)

  4. The Sex Talk (75 min)

  5. Past Grief and Loss Effects on Marriage (75 min)

  6. Posture: Assuming Positive Intent (75 min)

Through my own experience, I’ve come to believe that rooted relationships are essential, not only for our personal wellbeing, but also as an essential part of building a stronger and more inclusive society for everyone.

That experience continues to shape the heart of my work: helping people feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate life’s twists and turns.

Questions You Might Be Asking

  • No. Many people seek psychotherapy because they want to better understand themselves, improve relationships, manage stress, strengthen communication, address perfectionism or anger, or feel more grounded and connected. Therapy can be helpful both during difficult seasons and for personal growth.

  • Yes. Psychotherapy can support people experiencing work stress, burnout, pressure to succeed, leadership stress, emotional overwhelm, or difficulty balancing responsibilities. Therapy offers a space to better understand stress patterns, emotional reactions, perfectionism, anger, and coping strategies while supporting long-term wellbeing.

  • Many high-performing individuals experience anxiety, perfectionism, pressure, irritability, emotional masking, anger, burnout, or difficulty slowing down. Therapy can help you better understand these patterns, build healthier emotional coping strategies, and create a more sustainable relationship with performance and success.

  • Perfectionism can show up as constant pressure to perform, fear of failure, overworking, burnout, irritability, self-criticism, difficulty resting, anxiety, anger, or feeling “never good enough.” Therapy can help uncover the emotional patterns underneath perfectionism and support more balanced, compassionate ways of relating to yourself.

  • Psychotherapy can help you understand the pressure, overwhelm, anxiety, and self-criticism that often come with perfectionism and high performance expectations. Therapy may help you explore patterns such as overthinking, burnout, people-pleasing, masking, anger, or feeling like your worth depends on achievement. Together, we work toward healthier coping, emotional regulation, self-understanding, and a more sustainable relationship with success and stress.

  • Anger therapy is not about “getting rid of anger.” Anger is often an important emotion that may point to stress, hurt, unmet needs, overwhelm, pressure, or disconnection. In psychotherapy, we explore the underlying patterns contributing to anger, identify triggers, improve emotional awareness, and develop healthier ways of expressing emotions and communicating needs

  • Couples therapy can be helpful if you feel stuck in repetitive arguments, struggle to communicate effectively, feel emotionally distant, or want to deepen your connection before challenges grow larger. Therapy is not only for relationships in crisis, it can also help couples strengthen trust, emotional closeness, and communication.  Sound enticing? I invite you to send an email asking about the Rooted Together program.

  • Couples therapy is a collaborative process where both partners are supported in understanding communication patterns, emotional needs, and relationship dynamics. Sessions may focus on improving communication, conflict repair, emotional connection, trust, and helping couples feel more understood by one another.

  • Yes. Couples therapy can help partners strengthen communication, reduce recurring conflict, and better understand each other’s emotional needs. Therapy often focuses on breaking negative cycles, improving emotional connection, repairing misunderstandings, and building skills for healthier conversations so couples can feel more connected and supported.

  • Emotional disconnection often develops when partners feel unheard, misunderstood, overwhelmed, or caught in repetitive conflict patterns. Couples therapy can help partners reconnect emotionally, improve communication, strengthen trust, and create more meaningful ways of relating to one another.
